Design tools from eight videos, checked at the source

Short videos sell design tools by the dozen. We transcribed eight of them on our own machine, checked every tool they named at its source, and kept the few that fit a page like this one: Svelte, plain CSS, and a builder that looks at what it makes.

Kept

  • Impeccable, by Paul Bakaus: a design skill that names the shapes of generic AI pages and steers away from them.
  • taste-skill, by Leonxlnx: it deals an art direction instead of adjectives.
  • Emil Kowalski’s skills: rules for motion and interaction.
  • Google Labs’ DESIGN.md format: the page’s tokens and rules in one file.
  • Playwright MCP, from Microsoft: a browser your host Claude Code session drives, so it can look at what it built.

The kit’s installer pins the three skills for your Claude Code sessions and adds Playwright MCP.

Left out

  • 21st.dev: React and Tailwind only, and this page is Svelte and plain CSS.
  • Figma’s MCP: this page is designed in code, not in Figma, so there were no Figma files for it to read.
  • Website copiers: they start you from someone else’s page.
  • WebGPU animations: an API, not a product, and nothing here needs it.
  • React Bits: React only, and its Svelte port is built on Tailwind.

Later

  • GreenSock’s official GSAP skills, if this page’s card journey ever needs more than CSS.
  • Microsoft’s Playwright CLI, which drives the same browser for fewer tokens.

The tags it produced

  • kept Design skills against generic pages
  • kept A browser for your Claude Code sessions
  • left out Copying another site’s design

All the tags.
